This course is specially designed for film/digital camera users. Beside the basic theory and fundamental knowledge, you will be trained to develop a creative approach to capture images with impact.

Just $250 for 12 lesson, you can cover the basic photography and the class is every Tuesday night from 7.30pm til 9.30pm. The course is conducted by Chin Hon Khiong (ABLPC, LPSS), BSc. in (Building).

Lesson 2: (Theory and demonstration)
What is exposure? ( What is 18% Gray Card)
Types of metering system. ( Average, centre weighted and spot)
Effect of Shutter speed and Aperture.
How to focus?
Type of focus mode? (9 points or selected point)

Lesson 3: (Theory and demonstration)
Types of lenses (Actual lens for study)
Depth of Field.
The effect of lenses.
What is focal length?
What is the minimum shutter speed to prevent hand shake for certain focal length.

Lesson 4: (Theory and demonstration)
The study of natural lighting and usage and effect.
Study and discuss from photos (by projector).

Lesson 5: (Theory and demonstration)
Composition (The Rule of Thirds and etc)
How to avoid mistake in composition.
Study and discuss from photos (by projector).


Lesson 6 (Practical and demonstration)
Outing (Practical Photography I)

Lesson 7: (Theory and demonstration)
Night Photography.
What is good tripod.
Flashlight Photography. (flash gun with cap1, cap2 or reflector)
For Indoor using flash should set to which mode “P”, “Av”, “M”, “S” or “Tv”?

Lesson 8: (Theory and demonstration)
How to take outdoor portrait.
How to set camera in Manual mode for shooting in indoor studio?
Study and discuss from photos (by projector).

Lesson 9: (Practical and Demonstration)
Portrait Shooting (Indoor Practical Photography II)

Lesson 10 (Practical Hand on and Demonstration)
PhotoShop (Digital Lightroom)
Adobe Photoshop’s basic tools/ command such as Burning & Dodging , Text, Clone (Remove moles on face), Mask, Filters And Etc.

Lesson 11 (Exam and Study)
Test “Multiple” choice ( Self Marking)
Study and discussion for photos took by Student during outdoor shooting and indoor shooting.
Student are advise to submit their own shooting for comment (submit in either Pen/Thumb drive for copy or CD).

Lesson 12 (Presentation and Demonstration)
Slide show / Demonstration of Photoshop for revision.
Certification Presentation and photo taking for memory.

A “CERTIFICATE” will be given upon completion of the course.


Note:

Upon completion student can proceed with the “Advance level” which is the Indoor Portrait Studio Course which consist of 7 lessons on studio lighting with live models and 3 lessons on Photoshop with Digital background provided.
